REAM - Mathematics through play

Thank you to all that attended our REAM event. It was great to see all our families trying out the maths activities and seeing the importance of learning maths through play.

Counting and numbers

We are always thinking of new ways to develop the children's counting skills through interesting activities. This week we have used pom poms and caterpillars, coloured rice and numbers and play dough cake making. Learning numbers through play is so important for our children because they are enjoying what they do, this will have a greater impact and eventually numbers will become more meaningful to them.
